Thanks to the use of an optical sensor built in " back-illuminated " technology, unprecedented sensitivity has been achieved, which will allow the recording of weak signals coming even from the most distant objects in deep space. A 14-bit ADC system with a wide dynamic range is responsible for processing the signal coming from the matrix.

Despite the lack of active cooling known from PRO models, the ZWO ASI 294 MC camera is characterized by very low reading noise, which does not exceed 2e in a wide range of gain settings.
