Player One XENA-M Mono (SKU: POA-XENA-M ) is a small planetary-guiding camera based on the Sony IMX249 sensor (global shutter). The 1/1.2″ sensor with a resolution of 2.3 MP (1936 × 1216 px) and a large 5.86 µm pixel combines very low readout noise with a full well of 32 ke-, which guarantees a wide dynamic range for both fast lucky planet imaging and precise telescope guiding. Thanks to the Nova Boosting technology, the camera achieves 48 fps in full frame (RAW10) - significantly more than standard designs on this sensor. • Sony IMX249 mono sensor, 1/1.2″, global shutter – no rolling artifacts • resolution 1936 × 1216 px (2.3 MP), pixel size 5.86 µm – high sensitivity and large 32 ke-well • speed up to 48 fps (RAW10) – thanks to Nova Boosting technology • read noise 6.0 e- → 3.5 e- (at higher gain) – DPS mode removes dead pixels • 256 MB DDR-III buffer – continuous bursts without dropped frames • PCS (Passive Cooling System) housing with radiator; possibility of connecting active ACS cooling • Super AR Plus window – high transmission 350–1000 nm and reduced reflections • USB-C 3.0 interface (400 MiB/s) + ST-4 port for autoguiding • 1.25″ nose and M42 × 0.75 internal thread – full compatibility with the SFT tilter, FD MINI drawer and OAG Mini • matrix: Sony IMX249 mono, CMOS, global shutter • format / diagonal: 1/1.2″ (13.3 mm), area 11.3 × 7.1 mm • resolution: 1936 × 1216 px (2.35 MP) • pixel size: 5.86 µm • full well: 32 ke- • ADC: 12 bit / 10 bit (RAW) • reading noise: 6.0 e- (gn 0) → 3.5 e- (gn 350) • QE peak: ≈ 77% • max. FPS: 48 fps @ 1936 × 1216 (RAW10) • exposures: 32 µs – 2000 s • Buffer: 256MB DDR-III • back-focus (with 1.25″ nose): 7.5 mm • interface: USB-C 3.0, ST-4 (RJ-12) • Cooling: PCS passive; optional ACS module • dimensions / weight: Ø 40 mm × 30 mm / 65 g • power supply: 5 V from USB (≤ 450 mA) • systems: Windows 7/10/11 (ASCOM), macOS, Linux (INDI) XENA-M is an excellent choice as a guiding camera for off-axis guiders (OAG Mini/MAX) and a fast planetary camera for recording details on the surface of the Moon, Sun (with appropriate filtration) and planets of the Solar System. The global shutter eliminates "jelly" distortions, and the high sensitivity in NIR allows effective use of methane or IR-pass filters.
