The Sky-Watcher SWA-58 6 mm 1.25" eyepiece is a short focal length eyepiece with a 58° apparent field of view, designed for observations at higher magnifications. It can supplement or replace the basic eyepieces supplied with telescopes, especially for observing the Moon, planets and close double stars.
 
The SWA-58 is a modified Plössl-type eyepiece with an additional element increasing the field of view. The optical design consists of 5 lenses in 3 groups, while the FMC coatings help provide a bright and contrast-rich image. The eyepiece is equipped with a fold-down rubber eyecup and a standard 1.25" filter thread.
 
Thanks to its 6 mm focal length, the eyepiece works well where noticeably higher magnification is required. It can be used in various optical designs as well as in binoviewers.
