Developed by Al Nagler, Tele Vue Powermate lenses are the first successful attempt to break the limitations and eliminate the flaws characteristic of even the most refined classic Barlow lenses.
Thanks to the innovative four-element design of the Tele Vue Powermate 2.55x 1.25 ", it allows you to obtain a sharp, aberration-free image without changing the exit pupil shift or increased vignetting. Another feature of this accessory is the fact that in contrast to Barlow lenses, its optics does not cause refraction and changes in the course of the light, thanks to which its path is always parallel to the optical axis, which translates very favorably to the quality of observation with the use of narrowband filters such as, for example, Hα.
Powermate lenses are para-local and can be combined in sets with a magnification that is the product of the times of the individual components.
Attention! When selecting lenses from the Powermate series, see the diagram showing the changes in magnification depending on the distance between the lens and the focal plane. The diagram is available on the manufacturer's website at www.televue.com/engine/TV3b_page.asp?id=53&Tab=_app • advanced optical system with perfect correction of chromatic aberration and negligible vignetting • noticeably better image quality and greater than in the case of classic Barlow lenses • possibility of cooperation with astronomical cameras • excellent optical efficiency in cooperation with narrowband filters • series: Tele Vue Powermate • optical system: quadruplet • lens arrangement: 2 groups of 2 elements • times: 2.5 times • type of coating: full multi-layer coating (FMC) • compatible with CCD cameras: yes • diameter of the frame: 1.25 " • compatible filters: 1.25 " • weight: 204 g • Tele Vue Powermate 2.5x 1.25 "lens • plugs to prevent dust 60 months
