The Meade Series 4000 1.25" 2x Barlow Lens (SKU: 07273) is a compact "shorty" model designed for 1.25" eyepieces. It doubles the magnification of any eyepiece in this standard without excessively increasing the distance between the eyepiece and the focuser or diagonal. The lens is equipped with an optical system consisting of two lenses with an active diameter of 26 mm, covered with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. This is one of the most popular Meade optical accessories, which works perfectly in most telescopes.

The lens can be used in a diagonal attachment - normally between the attachment and the eyepiece (2x magnification) or between the focuser and the attachment (approx. 3x magnification, with the use of an additional extension tube for sharpness). Thanks to its compact design, it is particularly practical in telescopes with limited space for accessories.
