5x apochromatic Barlow lens in a 1.25 "frame. Three-element optics guarantee excellent color reproduction. It is often used in planetary astrophotography.
The main advantage of using Barlow lenses is that they allow you to limit the number of glasses while providing a wide range of available magnifications. For example, having 2 eyepieces with 30 and 15 mm focal lengths, and using a 3x Barlow lens, we get two additional magnifications corresponding to eyepieces with 10 and 5 mm focal lengths. In addition, Barlow lenses do not change the offset of the exit pupil of the glasses ( eye relief ), they allow the focus to be extended further from the tube (when we have a problem with sharpening the image) and they allow to extend the focal length when taking photos of the sky at the focus of the lens by a factor of ¶Æ equal to the Barlow lens (2x, 2.5x, 3x, 5x). | • times: | 5x | | • construction: | three-element, apochromatic | | • barrel standard: | 1.25 inch | | • anti-reflective layers: | FMC | | • weight: | 108 g |
