The Orion AstroView 90 mm EQ is a refractor mounted on a professional EQ-2 class equatorial mount. Excellent optics and exemplary quality of the mechanical elements guarantee that this instrument will meet the requirements of even the most experienced observers.
The construction of the optical system is a classic doublet with an air gap with an aperture of 90 mm and a focal length of 910 mm. The manufacturer used the Crown and Flint glass to make the lenses, which, combined with a full multi-layer coating, makes the image always extremely sharp and contrasting. The set with the optical tube includes a set of accessories necessary to start admiring the views of distant celestial bodies, so two Orion Sirius Plössl glasses with 26x and 56x magnification, a 6x30 scope that functions as a finder and the Mirror Star angle cap with magnesium fluoride coated mirror.
