Celestron NexStar Star Location Telescope (SLT) is a series of telescopes that includes models combining simple and intuitive operation with top-class, professional optics and precise, automated azimuthal assembly.
Celestron NexStar 102 SLT MAK is a high-class reflector equipped with a Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system, the design of which guarantees excellent correction of chromatic aberration and no need for frequent collimation, required in Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tubes. In order to obtain the best possible contrast and image detail, the optical surfaces of the telescope are covered with a full antreflective coating (FC).
The tube was mounted on a computerized azimuth mount controlled by the NexStar+™ controller. The controller's memory contains data on the location of 40,000 most important objects in the night sky. The entire set is mounted on a stable, steel tripod with a wide range of height adjustment.
Attention! The set is normally powered by eight AA batteries. It is also possible to power it from a separately available battery pack.
