The SkyWatcher MAK127 telescope is an ideal astronomical tool for every skywatcher - a great optical tube in the Maksutov system. Great for "balcony" astronomy and for trips. Highly valued by people observing and photographing airplanes at cruising altitudes.
The Maksutov optical system is one of the most highly regarded optical designs, widely appreciated for its mobility, ease of use and multifunctionality. It is an excellent choice for astronomical observations, as well as terrestrial and aircraft observations. Excellent optics provide exceptionally sharp images throughout the field of view. The telescope consists of a meniscus corrector plate, a primary mirror and a secondary mirror placed on the inner part of the meniscus. These telescopes have reduced coma and exhibit only residual chromatic aberration, giving very sharp and clear images. The great advantage of Maksutov telescopes is their compact and compact design and low weight. Due to their significant focal length and low light intensity, they are perfect for planetary observations. This type of design works well in metropolitan conditions, where the main focus is on Solar System objects rather than nebulae.
The tube can be hung on an equatorial mount (EQ3-2, EQ5, HEQ5, EQ6) or an azimuth mount (AZ4 or a strong photographic mount - an ideal solution for spotters).

| • Optical system: | Maksutov - Cassegrain | | • Lens diameter: | 127mm | | • Lens focal length: | 1500mm | | • Light Force: | 1/11.8 | | • Resolving power: | 1.1'' | | • Theoretical star range: | 13 magnitude | | • Maximum usable magnification: | 250x | | • Tube diameter: | 145mm | | • Total weight: | about 3.4 kg |
The set includes the following accessories: • 1.25'' focuser with T2 thread • eyepieces: Super 25 mm (60x magnification) and 10 mm (150x magnification) - standard 1.25'', own field of view 50° • 90° angle mirror connector (gives an uninverted, terrestrial image) • Star Pointer (collimator) or optical 6x30 finder, depending on delivery • Vixen / Meade / Sky-Watcher standard mounting rail 60 months (5 years) for mechanics and 2 years for electronics (manufacturer's warranty)

This device focuses a large amount of light. Looking directly at the Sun through this device can cause partial or complete loss of vision. For observing the Sun, we recommend the safest method of eyepiece projection, i.e. projecting the image of our daytime star's disk onto a sheet of paper.
