Collective work "Birding in Poland" is a guide for bird watchers to the most interesting ornithological stands in Poland in English.
The guide was created for both bird watchers who plan a longer stay in Poland, as well as those who visit large cities for business and have only a few hours to observe birds. For them, we have presented in more detail interesting places in Warsaw and Krakow - two cities probably most often visited by foreigners. We also described positions near other large cities - Łódź, Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Lublin and Rzeszów.
The guide is a collective work, 46 authors are ornithologists, birdwatchers and an expert in the local avifauna. The book describes 119 positions throughout Poland and contains 164 maps. In addition to places known probably to all Western European bird watchers places such as the Białowieża Forest, the Biebrza Valley or the Warta Mouth, we have included descriptions of less known but also worth visiting areas.
The book is supplemented with a description of the Polish avifauna, practical advice on birdwatching and traveling in Poland, texts on legal aspects of bird watching, and the biology of Aquatic Warbler and White Stork. • English • year of publication: 2015 • publisher: Oriolus Förlag • pages: 590 pages of text and maps + 20 pages of a chalk insert with pictures • format: 13.5 x 21.5 cm • ISBN: 978-91-978652-1-0 • hard • weight: approx. 700 g
