Solar filter mount for refractors φ 90 mm (Synta factory)
A fitting for a solar filter made of Baader foil, made of plastic, enabling a quick and reliable mounting of the solar foil on an astronomical telescope without the necessity to make the fitting on one's own. See also: SOLAR FOIL (LINK)
The luminaire is compatible with the following telescopes:
• Spinor Optics R-90/900 AZ-3, R-90/900 EQ-2, R-90/900 EQ-3 • Sky-Watcher R-90/900 AZ-3, R-90/900 EQ-2
NOTE: ALWAYS CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE FILTER BEFORE PLACING IT ON THE TELESCOPIC - CHECK THAT THE FILTER IS NOT BROKEN OR DAMAGED
QUICK PHOTO-GUIDE How to attach the Baader Planetarium solar foil to a plastic frame?
We need: solar foil, binding, sharp knife (or scalpel), double-sided adhesive tape, scissors and cotton gloves. (we stick small squares of double-sided tape to the inside of the binding - quite dense and sloppy, you won't be able to see them anyway) (the foil is glued - preferably with cotton gloves so as not to leave dactyloscopic traces - fairly evenly, but not stretched; corrugation of the foil is more beneficial than pressing it; the excess foil is cut out at the outer edge of the binding with a sharp point. ¿Em) The filter is ready - we can now put it on the front of the telescope and start observing. It is worth remembering that the foil ensures safety, but the additional use of eyeglass filters - lunar ND (neutral density), polarization, color or Baader Solar Continuum filters allow to additionally reduce the brightness and increase the contrast.
