Solar filter holder for refractors φ 120 mm (Synta factory)
Baader foil solar filter holder made of plastic, enabling quick and secure mounting of the solar foil on an astronomical telescope without the need to make the mount yourself. See also: SOLAR FOIL (LINK) • Inner diameter of the mounting: 137 mm
The fixture works with the following telescopes:
• Sky-Watcher R-120/600 OTA / AZ-3 / EQ-3-2, R-120/1000 OTA / EQ3-2 / EQ-5
NOTE: ALWAYS CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE FILTER BEFORE ATTACHING IT TO THE TELESCOPE - CHECK IF THE FILTER IS NOT LOOSE OR DAMAGED
QUICK PHOTO GUIDE How to attach the Baader Planetarium solar foil to a plastic frame?
We need: solar foil, a frame, a sharp knife (or scalpel), double-sided tape, scissors and cotton gloves will come in handy. (we glue small squares of double-sided tape to the inside of the binding - quite thickly and sloppily, they won't be visible anyway) (glue the foil - preferably with cotton gloves so as not to leave fingerprint marks - relatively evenly, but do not stretch it; folding the foil is more advantageous than stretching it; cut out the excess foil at the outer edge of the binding with a sharp knife) The filter is ready - we can now put it on the front of the telescope and start observing. It is worth remembering that the foil ensures safety, but the additional use of eyeglass filters - lunar ND (neutral density), polarizing, color or Baader Solar Continuum filters can additionally reduce the brightness and increase the contrast.
