The Sky Rover Optics 1× Field Flattener is a dedicated field corrector designed for the Sky Rover 70GPS telescope, also designated as the 70 APO PRO. Its purpose is to correct the field curvature of the refractor, allowing stars located away from the centre of the frame to be rendered as more precise points and helping maintain image sharpness across the sensor.
The 1× correction factor means that the flattener does not reduce the telescope's nominal focal length. It therefore preserves the telescope's native image scale, focal ratio and field of view while improving field geometry for astrophotography.
The optical system consists of two elements arranged in two groups, specified as a 2E/2G design. An M54 × 0.75 thread is provided on the telescope side, while the camera side uses an M48 × 0.75 thread. The required distance from the M48 reference plane to the sensor surface is 55 mm.
Before installing the flattener, the standard 2" interface must be unscrewed from the telescope focuser. The corrector is installed directly in its place. A DSLR camera can be connected using a suitable M48 T-ring, while a cooled camera may require an appropriate adapter or a set of extension rings.

The M48 camera T-ring, cooled-camera adapter, extension rings, DSLR camera and astronomical camera are not included. To obtain correct field correction, the optical train must be configured so that the distance from the flattener's M48 reference plane to the sensor is 55 mm.
