Sightmark Solitude XD 8x42 Binoculars are a durable roof-prism model designed for hunters, wildlife observers and users who actively spend time outdoors. The extra-low dispersion XD glass reduces chromatic aberration, improving sharpness, contrast and natural colour reproduction. BaK-4 roof prisms with dielectric and phase-correction coatings, together with fully multi-coated FMC lenses, provide light transmission exceeding 85%. The 42 mm objective lenses and 5.25 mm exit pupil help maintain a bright, detailed image at dawn, at dusk and in overcast conditions.
The large central dial enables fast and precise focusing, including when observing while wearing gloves. The diopter adjustment on the right eyepiece features a zero-reset function that allows an individual setting to be saved and easily restored after the binoculars have been used by another person. Twist-up eyecups and an eye relief of 18 mm provide comfortable observation for users both with and without corrective glasses.
The magnesium-alloy body combines high durability with a weight of 682 g. The binoculars are nitrogen-purged, O-ring sealed and waterproof to the IPX7 rating, protecting the internal optical system against moisture and fogging. The included adapter allows the binoculars to be mounted on a tripod using a 1/4-20 thread or directly in an Arca-Swiss-compatible clamp.
