The Sony IMX429 mono sensor (global shutter, 2/3″) with a resolution of 1944 × 1460 px and a pixel size of 4.5 µm combines high sensitivity (QE > 80 %) with very low readout noise (< 1.6 e-) and a full well of ≈ 30 ke-. The global shutter eliminates "jelly-effect" distortions, making the camera ideal for high-speed imaging of the Sun, Moon and planets, as well as for photometry and guidance applications (OAG Mini).
