The ZWO IR Pass 850 nm filter is a bandpass filter that transmits infrared radiation with a wavelength above 850 nm. It is used with IR-sensitive cameras, especially in planetary astrophotography and infrared imaging in difficult seeing conditions. Thanks to this filter, it is possible to record high-contrast images, especially with monochrome cameras, but also with color cameras - without the need for debayering, because the sensitivity of sensors above 850 nm is the same for all subpixels.
