Antlia ALP-T Dual Band 3.5 nm SII + Hβ is a professional astrophotography filter that passes Hβ and SII bands. The filter has been designed to work with both SLR and color cameras, as well as with monochrome cameras, where it allows to speed up the signal acquisition process by simultaneously exposing the matrix to two spectral lines. This filter is a perfect complement to the ALT-P Dual Band 3 nm Hα + OIII version, allowing for even deeper contrast and exposure of the photographed object from the background.
This filter is characterized by a half-width of the passbands of only 3.5 nm, which, combined with full separation of the Hβ and SII bands, results in a drastic improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio already at the stage of taking a picture, which ultimately translates into a noticeable improvement in sharpness and contrast. In tandem with high optical efficiency for the passbands, there is a high optical density for the blocked range, thanks to which this filter effectively eliminates the negative impact of light pollution, allowing photography even near large cities.
Note! The Antlia ALP-T Dual Band 3.5 nm SII + Hβ filter is not recommended for visual observations. Under no circumstances should it be used for solar observations! • high transmittance for Hβ and SII bands while efficiently blocking other spectral lines • recommended for use with telescopes with a focal ratio of f/4 or slower • designed to work with digital SLR cameras, as well as monochrome and color astronomical cameras • thin frame minimizing the risk of vignetting • designed to work in environments with high light pollution • filter type: dual band filter • Filter diameter: 2" • filter thickness: 2 ± 0.05 mm • filter shape: round • transmitted bands: Hβ, SII • position of the maximum transmittance peak (CWL) for the Hβ band: 486.1 nm • Full width half-bandwidth (FWHM) for the Hβ band: 3.5 ± 0.5 nm • maximum transmission for Hβ band: 85% • position of the maximum transmittance peak (CWL) for the SII band: 672.4 nm • Full width half-width (FWHM) for SII band: 3.5 ± 0.5 nm • maximum transmission for SII band: 90% • blocked bands: mercury lamps (435.8 nm, 546.1 nm, 577 nm, 578.1 nm), sodium lamps (598 nm, 589.6 nm, 615.4 nm, 616.1 nm) • equivalent optical density for blocked lines: >OD4.5 @ 300 - 1100 nm • IR blocking range: up to 1100 nm • quality of surface workmanship: 60/40 • manufacturing accuracy: λ/4 • parallelism: 30" • frame: black, anodized • frame thread: M48x0.75 • Antlia ALP-T Dual Band 3.5 nm SII + Hβ filter 24 months
