Astronomik MC-clear 1,25" filter

Astronomik MC-Clear 1.25" filter (Astronomik, SKU: 10231125) is a clear optical element with multilayer coatings, intended for dust protection and maintaining the optical thickness of an imaging train. It transmits a broad spectrum and does not serve as a UV- or IR-cut filter.

MC-Clear is useful when a clear plate is needed instead of an empty position in the optical train. Antireflection coatings reduce losses and unwanted reflections. In systems with refractive elements and a camera sensitive outside the visible spectrum, any required UV/IR filtration must be provided separately.

The filter has a 1.25" cell with an M28.5 × 0.6 thread. It fits accessories with a matching filter socket; the nominal cell size is not the diameter of the clear glass aperture.
