Levenhuk LabZZ Tellurium is a mechanical table model depicting the rotation of the Earth and the Moon orbiting the sun. Tellurium will help children understand where the seasons come from, how the phases of the moon change, and why the year is twelve months old. Tellurium is a great help for astronomy and geography lessons.
The set is screwed to the base. All elements of tellurium are connected by gears. Earth and moon models move with a small crank.
In the center of the rotating mechanism is the Sun model (with backlight). The Sun Lamp is turned on with a button under its base.
The Earth model revolves counterclockwise around the sun. Tellurium shows the change of seasons. In one orbit of the Earth around the Sun, the Moon orbits the Earth 12 times, reflecting 12 months of the year.
The main elements of this model are made of durable and safe plastic. The sun is 100 mm in diameter, the earth is 85 mm and the moon 18 mm.
Note: tellurium contains small elements! Small children cannot play with tellurium without adult supervision. • a mechanical model showing the rotation of the Earth and the Moon around the sun • practical learning help • the model moves with a small crank • a bright lamp is placed in the Sun model • material: plastic • diameter of the Sun model: 100 mm • Earth model diameter: 85 mm • diameter of the moon model: 18 mm 6 months (manufacturer's warranty)
