An affordable video-course of astronomy using the free Stellarium program (available for download from www.stellarium.org) on ••DVD is almost 2 hours of basic concepts of astronomy, cosmology and astronomical observation.

Publisher description:

When we talk with friends about astronomy, we often cross the boundaries of science, smoothly passing into the sphere of psychology or religion. For how to rationally explain the phenomenon of infinity or the size of the cosmos. As of today, such concepts go beyond the possibility of meeting people, but they provoke extremely interesting discussions and deliberations.

On the other hand, a large part of the knowledge about planets, stars, galaxies and even the beginning of the Universe known to us is now available to most people. The telescope, which Galileo has devoted to a significant part of his life, is now achievable for several hundred zlotys, and possesses optical parameters that the discoverer of the Jovian moons did not even dream about. Because of this, astronomy has become for some fields of knowledge, and for others a hobby. It is often just these hobbies in local communities that jointly discover the vastness of the sky.

We want to invite you to such an amazing adventure today. In a video astronomy course using the free Stellarium program, you'll learn how to start exploring the sky from the bottom up. Regardless of the weather and the observational equipment you have, we will show you the sky, which will become more understandable and close to you today.
