The Askar 203APO is a top-of-the-range apochromatic refractor with a large aperture of 203 mm and a focal length of 1421 mm (f/7), designed for the most demanding astrophotographers and observers. With 20% larger effective objective surface than the 185APO, the telescope allows you to obtain a limiting stellar magnitude of up to 13.3. The optical system is based on a triple lens (triplet APO) with an air gap, incorporating one ED (low dispersion) glass, which effectively eliminates chromatic aberrations and ensures excellent sharpness and faithful colour rendition. The telescope is equipped with a 3.5" rack & pinion eyepiece focuser with precise two-speed focusing, a scale and a large 360° rotator with an angular scale and a comfortable, enlarged locking screw. The focuser works with most electric focusing systems available on the market. Askar 203APO, despite its high optical parameters, has been designed with relative mobility in mind: thanks to the extendable tube mechanism, in the shortest configuration it is only 1145 mm long. The rear part of the tube is a 150 mm long sliding segment, allowing for use with binocular attachments (binoviewers) or angled connectors. The entire structure is made in CNC technology with anodized finish and elegant orange accents on a white-lacquered surface. The set includes a long 402 mm transport handle with a place for mounting the finder, solid tube rings and a 500 mm Losmandy rail with numerous mounting holes, facilitating balancing the whole on a parallactic mount. The net weight of the tube is 18.5 kg, and with rings and rail - 23.5 kg. The set includes an aluminum transport case, instructions, handles and a set of mounting accessories.
