The dew shield is a necessary equipment that protects the optical tube against the deposition of dew on the corrector lens. The visor blocks stray light from entering the telescope, which provides better contrast for visual observations and astrophotography. Fits 6 "and 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain, Edge HD and RASA optical tubes (single dovetail or dovetail).
The cover is made of a durable plastic that is strong and flexible at the same time. There is an additional lining on the edge of the tube mounting to ensure a better fit to the tube.
